Nutrition and training have always been a priority in my life.
From playing little league softball and running track as a kid, to playing a handful of sports in high school and moving onto being a collegiate athlete. Post college I stayed active playing women’s beach volleyball and cycling between whatever my peers were doing and/or what was hot at the moment.
I kicked boxed, ran races, did Zumba, P90X, you name it, I’ve done it. Kids definitely slowed my life down and certainly made it harder to prioritize my nutrition and training.
There came a point where they no longer tolerated being pushed in the stroller for a run, while I was finding myself constantly snacking on their left behind treats.
In my pursuit to really try everything, CrossFit hit the list in 2015.
I was easily lured in by a Groupon and a desperate need to find myself and maybe escape the house. I will forever be grateful for CrossFit getting a barbell in my hand and beginning my life of weight training (...outside of just 10 pound dumbbells). I was in my late 30’s and seeing my body take on more shape, finally looking like the part of someone who “fitnessed”.
During that time I pursued all the fad diets as well (Paleo, Whole 30, IIFYM, you name it).
Everyone else was doing it and it looked to work. BUT so began the ups and down of the scale and not being able to maintain the aesthetics I was seemingly working so hard toward.
Despite hiring coaches and cycling the “30 days challenges”, I always gained the weight back.
In the Summer of 2020, Jeremiah Bair entered my life.
I initially listened to his Podcast, followed his content, jokingly calling myself his fangirl, while also being completely skeptical of him and any other coach.
Eventually, I hopped on a call and in line with my character, I was easily convinced to try the next thing. Needless to say, I am now a part of this team.
There was no way I could say no after the overdelivery of service and the overwhelming growth I made.
Yes, I obtained and have pretty much maintained my desired aesthetics, but the biggest and most substantial growth was my mindset.
Two years later and I am still able to let go of all my irrational fears, hold myself accountable, work with purpose, and allow myself grace when needed.
Jeremiah taught me to believe in myself and understand that "confidence is actually earned AFTER consistently doing the uncomfortable things".... and…. that he really meant it when he said he’ll “be the last coach you ever have to hire”.
Now I get to do what I love in a space that I love, and with people that I look up to. As part of this team I continue to grow personally, build relationships, bring about small acts of kindness, and help more people experience the joy and freedom that comes with true health and fitness.
We tailor our science-based, human-centered system to every person that’s in front of us. We listen first and then design.
Nutrition is a collaboration and is based on what you like to eat, when you like to eat, and how you like to eat. We take that knowledge, and then we tailor the perfect plan that gets you to your goal. And teach you how and why it works.
Your training should be backed by science and proven by experience. But it shouldn’t be bland or dogmatic. We don’t believe in “best” movements or rep and set schemes. We know that the best program is tailored to your unique goals, volume needs, and biomechanics.
The job of the coach is to get you to where they want to go. Our aim as coaches is to always over-deliver through education, attention to detail and build a genuine relationship with you. We don’t just prescribe, we teach the reason behind the movements and protocols we prescribe for you.
Ever heard the saying “If you’re not assessing, you’re guessing?” It’s 100% true when it comes to changing your physique. Daily accountability and tracking for your macros, movement, sleep, recovery scores, body measurements, progress pictures, and much more ensure you progress and GET RESULTS!
